Chien-Wen Sun


I am a Ph.D. Candidate at the Chaotic Systems and Signal Processing Laboratory (CSSP Lab.) at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), Taiwan. My research focuses on developing cognitively-inspired AI systems with memory interpretability and consolidation capabilities for autonomous driving applications. Representative papers are highlighted below.

Bio: Chien-Wen received the M.S. degree in Electronic Engineering from Feng Chia University (FCU), Taichung, Taiwan, in 2023. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Institute of Electrical and Control Engineering, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), where he is advised by Prof. Wu. He is co-advised by Prof. Lin of the Department of Automatic Control Engineering, FCU. Notably, he received the Innovation Award at the Autonomous Grand Challenge 2025 (ICCV Phase), standing out among 19+ participating teams from both industry (e.g., Nvidia, Bosch, Xiaomi) and academia. His current research interests include fuzzy systems, reinforcement learning, cognitive architectures, trajectory planning, and generative AI.
